Seller Guide

Everything you need to know to sell successfully on EBLIT — from creating your first listing to getting paid.

Getting Started

1

Complete Identity Verification

Before you can list, you must verify your identity through Stripe Identity. This takes 2-3 minutes. You will need a government-issued photo ID and access to your device camera. Verification is required once and never repeated unless your account is flagged for review.

2

Connect Your Stripe Account

Set up a Stripe Connect account to receive payouts. Stripe Connect is free to set up and allows EBLIT to transfer your earnings directly to your bank account after each sale. You will need your bank account details and Social Security Number or EIN for tax purposes.

3

Set Up Your Storefront

Customize your public seller page with a cover photo, bio, and business hours. A complete storefront builds trust with buyers and increases your chances of selling. Your storefront is visible at eblit.com/@yourusername.

Creating a Great Listing

4

Write an Accurate Title and Description

Be specific. Include the brand, model, condition, and any relevant details. Buyers make decisions based on your description — misrepresentation leads to disputes and strikes. Describe defects honestly. Buyers appreciate transparency and will trust you more for it.

5

Take Quality Photos

Take a minimum of 4 photos: front, back, sides, and any defects. Use natural lighting. Show the unique identifier (IMEI, serial number, VIN) in one of the photos. More photos mean fewer questions from buyers and faster sales.

6

Scan the Unique Identifier

Use EBLIT's built-in OCR scanner to scan your item's unique identifier. This registers the item in EBLIT's ownership system and prevents duplicate listings. For phones, scan the IMEI (found in Settings > About). For vehicles, scan the VIN plate.

7

Set Your Price and Delivery Method

Set a fair price based on the item's condition and market value. Enable price negotiation if you are willing to accept offers. Select your delivery method — meetup, shipping, or both. Note: vehicles can only be sold via meetup.

Managing Your Waiting List

8

Review Waiting List

When buyers join your waiting list, you can see their verified status. You have full discretion to select any waitlist member to offer the purchase to (NOT first-come first-served). Selected buyer has 24 hours to complete payment. If they do not pay, you select another waitlist member.

9

Use LiveVerify for High-Value Items

For items over $500, consider enabling LiveVerify. This allows serious buyers to request a live video call with you before committing to purchase. LiveVerify costs the buyer $1.99 and gives you a chance to showcase the item in real time, reducing post-purchase disputes significantly.

10

Negotiate in Chat

If price negotiation is enabled, buyers can open a chat to negotiate. You can accept, counter, or decline any offer. Once you agree on a price, the buyer proceeds to checkout at that price. You can end a negotiation at any time before payment is made.

Your Payout

11

How Fees Work

EBLIT charges a platform fee based on the sale price: 6% (min $2) for sales under $100; 4.5% for $100-$1,000; 3.5% for $1,000-$10,000; 2% for sales over $10,000. For shipping transactions, a $4 label fee and $1 GPS verification fee are also deducted. A one-time $1.50 identity verification fee is deducted from your first payout only.

12

When You Get Paid

For meetup transactions, your payout is transferred immediately upon successful code exchange. For shipping transactions, your payout is transferred when the buyer confirms receipt or when the 12-hour auto-release window expires after delivery confirmation — whichever comes first.

Never Transact Outside EBLIT

Buyers who ask you to complete the transaction via WhatsApp, cash app, wire transfer, or any method outside EBLIT are attempting fraud. All transactions must be completed through the EBLIT platform. Sellers who conduct off-platform transactions lose all seller protections and face permanent account termination.
