Our Commitment
EBLIT is committed to providing a marketplace platform that is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the accessibility standard recommended by the U.S. Department of Justice for marketplaces and consumer-facing web services.
Conformance Status
Our internal audit (completed during an internal audit) tested 153 WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria across the EBLIT web frontend and admin surfaces. Current status:
- PASS: 117 criteria conform
- FAIL: 1 criterion (SC 1.3.4 Orientation on mobile; remediation tracked for an upcoming release)
- FWC (Functionality Works Correctly): 6 criteria
- PDA (Partially deferred to an upcoming mobile-remediation release): 9 criteria
- N/A: 17 criteria not applicable to our platform; 3 not observable in current implementation
Assistive Technology Compatibility
EBLIT's web frontend has been tested with the following assistive technologies:
- VoiceOver on macOS Safari + iOS Safari
- NVDA on Windows Firefox + Chrome
- TalkBack on Android Chrome
- Keyboard-only navigation (Tab + Shift+Tab + Enter + Space)
Known Limitations
We are actively working to improve accessibility. Known limitations as of this statement:
- The mobile app currently locks to portrait orientation in some flows (SC 1.3.4 Orientation; remediation planned for an upcoming release).
- Complex listing photos do not yet support detailed alt-text editing (planned for an upcoming release).

Standards + Methodology
This statement is based on the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at Conformance Level AA. Our internal audit followed the W3C Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules where applicable.
