Every EBLIT user goes through Stripe Identity verification before they can list or buy high-value items. Government-issued ID is matched to a live selfie so there are no anonymous accounts hiding behind a username.

At meetup, both parties submit a live photo that is OCR-matched against the verified identity on file. If the face does not match, the transaction is cancelled and a refund is issued automatically.

Identity records are retained for seven years for dispute resolution and law enforcement cooperation, then fully anonymized per our data retention policy.

When both parties choose to meet in person, EBLIT GPS-verifies that each person is physically present at the agreed location before any exchange can proceed. Accuracy below 5 meters triggers automatic spoofing detection.

If a seller does not show within 15 minutes of the confirmed meetup time, the buyer receives a full refund immediately and the seller receives a strike on their account.

Live navigation is built into the app so neither party needs to leave EBLIT to find the meetup point. Distance and ETA update in real time as you travel.

When a buyer pays, funds are held in EBLIT's Stripe platform account and are never released to the seller until the transaction is confirmed complete. Buyers are protected at every step.

All payments process through Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. EBLIT never stores card numbers, bank account details, or any raw payment data on its own servers.

If a transaction is cancelled for any covered reason, the full refund is issued back to the original payment method automatically through Stripe, with no manual steps required.

Every item sold on EBLIT is registered with a unique identifier (IMEI, VIN, or serial number) that is OCR-scanned at listing and again at delivery. The identifier must match at both ends or the transaction is blocked.

EBLIT maintains a permanent ownership record for every item that has ever transacted on the platform. This history cannot be edited, deleted, or overridden by any user.

Before buying, you can see the full transfer history of any item. If a listing re-appears on EBLIT after being sold, the platform detects it instantly and flags it for review.

LiveVerify lets buyers request a real-time Chime video call with the seller for $1.99 before paying. You can inspect the item, ask questions, and verify it is exactly what was advertised, all inside the EBLIT app.

The seller must accept the LiveVerify request within a set window. If they decline or do not respond, that is logged on their profile. Consistent refusals affect a seller's verified status.

LiveVerify sessions are recorded and securely stored for a limited period (currently approximately 20 days after the transaction is completed). If no dispute is raised the recording is automatically deleted. If a dispute is opened the recording is retained as evidence until the dispute is fully resolved.
